Upcoming Events

Join the fun and connect with others who share your interests.

We’re gearing up for an exciting 2026 Spring Gem, Mineral and Jewelry Show and we need YOU to help make it a success! This event is a major fundraiser for our club, and every volunteer plays a vital role. Whether you can give an hour or a full shift, your time and enthusiasm will help us raise funds, connect with our community, and have some fun along the way.

Volunteering is a great way to support the club, spend time with fellow members, and be part of something meaningful. Please consider signing up for a volunteer shift and helping us make this event one to remember!

We need two people for each time slot for each of these positions:  Ticket Table, Club Table, Hospitality, Security, Gem Sluice, Demonstrations.

Here are the time slots available for:

  • Sat, April 18 shifts - 9-Noon, Noon-3pm, 3-5pm
  • Sun,  April 19 shifts: 10am-1pm, 1-4pm

Contact us to reserve the slot you are interested in supporting.  We will also have a sign-up sheet at the February 24 meeting.  Thank you for your energy and support—we can’t wait to work alongside you!

GLOWING ROCKS!

Have you ever seen a rock glow? ✨ Now’s your chance!

Join us on March 27 at 7:00 PM for our March General Meeting when our guest speaker, Greg Duker, will be bringing fluorescent rocks to show and explaining the fascinating science behind why they glow. It’s a presentation you won’t want to miss!

Come spend an evening of learning, discovery, and fun with fellow members and rock enthusiasts. Be sure to bring a rock, cab, lapidary project, or interesting artifact to share—we always enjoy seeing what others are collecting or working on.

Our monthly meetings are open to the public, so feel free to invite a friend and help us spread the word.

As we begin the new year, it is time to renew your membership with the NWA Gem and Mineral Society using our Membership Form.

Annual dues are $25 for a family membership (including all children under the age of 18) and $15 for an individual membership.

Completed forms may be submitted at the next meeting. Please make all checks payable to NWAGMS.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to another great year with our members.

Join us every second Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 at the Clubhouse for our Do-Over Class.  All members are invited and no experience is necessary.   You can learn to make earrings, bracelets, and necklaces using our tools, beads and supplies.  We sell what we make at the Fall Swap and use our proceeds for more items we don’t have or items needed for classes at the Clubhouse.  Join us for fun, fellowship and learning.
