NWAGMS has once again been invited to participate in the annual Gravette Day Celebration on Saturday, August 8, 2026. This is one of our outstanding community outreach events and a wonderful opportunity to share our passion for rocks, minerals, fossils, and lapidary arts with the public.

We will be setting up and operating our popular Gem Sluice, as well as creating a display of member collections to showcase the beauty and variety of our hobby. We have also been invited to participate in the parade, where we can help spread the word about our club and invite others to discover the fascinating world of rockhounding.

Events like this help us connect with our community, inspire future rockhounds, and introduce people of all ages to the fun and educational aspects of collecting, lapidary, and earth sciences. Whether you can help for an hour or the entire day, your participation makes a difference.

We are looking for members to volunteer to:

  • Help set up and operate the Gem Sluice
  • Share their collections for display
  • Staff our booth and talk with visitors
  • Walk or ride with the club in the parade
  • Help with setup and cleanup

Please consider joining us for this fun event while supporting your club and enjoying all that Gravette Day has to offer.

If you are able to help, please sign up at the July meeting or contact us through the website's Contact Form. We would love to have you join us!
